Who is this for? #
An administrator in Presto Assistant who wants to get started with the platform — whether you're a director or booster leader setting this up on your own, or a district administrator setting it up for multiple organizations. This guide will help you understand the basic features and functionalities available to you as an administrator, and how to set up and manage your Admin Portal.
Detailed steps #
Use the items below to set up your Admin Portal and explore the Presto Assistant platform. Each item includes a link to helpful support articles or videos for more information.
The Admin Portal is the top-level space in Presto Assistant where all of a school system's performing arts organizations are grouped and managed together. An Admin Portal is free, and it is required to use Presto Assistant.

Organizations #
Every Presto Assistant organization (Band, Choir, Dance, Guitar, Mariachi, Orchestra, Theater, etc.) must belong to an Admin Portal. There are a few ways to connect organizations to yours:
- Create a new one: Create the organization yourself and become its head director, or hand it off to another director later. Learn more in the Create a New Organization section of this support article.
- Import via template: If you have a large number of existing organizations to add at once, our support team can assist with a bulk import. Email us for help.
- Find an existing one: Search for an existing head director by email and send a request for them to join your Admin Portal. Learn more in the Find an Existing Organization section of the same support article.
- Invite a director to create one: Send an email invitation to a director, and they will become the head director once they create the organization. Learn more in the Invite a New Organization section of the same support article.
Creating an organization automatically starts a 30-day free trial, so you and your team can explore Presto Assistant before purchasing a license.
Once organizations are connected, the Directors page lists every director across all of them in one table. You can add a director to any organization, change which director leads an organization, or remove a director without switching into that organization.
- Learn more about managing directors in your Admin Portal.
At any point during an organization's 30-day trial, you can complete the billing process to purchase a license. We offer various lengths of licenses to fit your needs and budget, and discounts are available when purchasing licenses in bulk.
- Add your tax-exempt form to start the billing process.
- Learn about purchasing a Presto license via estimate and invoice.
- Once purchased, learn how to activate licenses for connected organizations.
